Clarke-Washington EMC's response to COVID-19
Touchstone Energy is an alliance of local, consumer owned utilites around the country, committed to providing superior service at affordable rates to all customers, large and small.
In 1998, Clarke-Washington EMC, along with over 1,000 other electric cooperatives, added the Touchstone Energy name and logo to our logo to emphasize our commitment to community and to you, the membership.
You may see the tag-line, “the power of human connections,” included with the Touchstone Energy logo. That tag-line conveys the human element in providing local service, which is one of the most positive aspects of cooperatives. We are local. We are an integral part of your community.
Clarke-Washington Electric Membership Corporation and Touchstone Energy cooperative values are: integrity, accountability, innovation and commitment to community.
The Seven Cooperative Principles are:
- Open and voluntary membership
- Democratic member control
- Member economic participation including limited return on investment and return of surplus to members
- Cooperative autonomy and independence
- Cooperative education, training and information
- Cooperation among cooperatives and
- Concern for community
Clarke-Washington EMC follows the core values and cooperative principles in order to maintain superior service to its membership.
