Pay Where You Shop
A new payment option that gives you approximately 30 convenient locations in or near the Clarke-Washington EMC service area to pay your electric bill. The new service is called CheckOut and allows you to make payments on your electric bill at Dollar General, Family Dollar and CVS stores. It’s not only convenient, it’s simple and easy. All you have to do is go to www.cwemc.com and click on CHECKOUT BARCODE or click on the button below. Then, enter your account number without a dash and verify your service address to obtain a barcode unique to your electric account with CWEMC. You can download the barcode to your phone or print a paper copy. Or, you can call or stop by the office and we will be happy to help you obtain your barcode. Beginning in June 2020, your barcode will be printed on the back of your bill.
Once you have the barcode, you simply go into one of the stores and tell the cashier how much you would like to pay on your account. The cashier will scan the bar code and accept your cash payment. The store adds a $1.50 convenience fee and the payment is immediately posted to your account. The cashier does not have access to check the amount of your bill so you need to have a copy of your bill or check ahead of time to find out how much you need to pay on your bill.
Clarke-Washington EMC offers a secure way for members to pay their bill online. Click the button below and it will link to the online bill paying site. If you do not have a login, you will need to know your account number, the phone number associated with your account and you must have an email address on file.
Customers will be asked to login and enter their account number and a password. For questions or assistance, please call Clarke-Washington EMC billing department at 1-800-323-9081.
Notice: Effective January 1, 2010 a convenience fee will be charged for use of credit card, debit card and e-check payments for payment of electric bills. This fee is a pass-through fee from the company we use to make these transactions. The fee will be $1.00 for e-checks and $2.00 for credit and debit card transactions.
Pay Bill On Site
Members may pay their bill at either office location of Clarke Washington EMC, in Jackson or Chatom. Another convenient option for members is to pay at a local bank.
Members can pay their electrical bill through the 10th of each month at the following banks:
First US Bank locations in Grove Hill and Thomasville.
BancorpSouth locations in Grove Hill, Jackson, and Thomasville
Clarke-Washington EMC members may also leave their electric bill payments in the night deposit boxes at the Jackson and Chatom office locations.

Credit Card payments can be accepted over the telephone at 1-855-870-0403.
Pay Bill By Credit Card
Clarke Washington EMC has made it more convenient for members to pay their electric bill.
One of these methods is, credit cards.VISA, MASTERCARD, DISCOVER, and AMERICAN EXPRESS are accepted at CWEMC’s Jackson and Chatom offices.
Pay Bill By Bank or Credit Card Draft
Clarke Washington EMC bank draft makes it easy for members to pay their bill each month on time without having to write a check and mail or drop it off by one of our office locations.
With automatic bank draft, you will receive a bill from Clarke-Washington EMC each month indicating the amount of the scheduled draft. The amount of your bill will then be automatically deducted from your account on the 10th of each month. *If the 10th of the month falls on a holiday or weekend, it will be deducted from your account on the following business day.

There is no charge for using the automatic bank draft option.

Clarke-Washington Electric Membership Corporation has a program that is designed specifically to help our members budget for these fluctuating bills.
There are no surprises with levelized billing. A levelized bill is based on the average billing for 12 months – and you are billed for that average amount, so you pay approximately the same amount every month.
In order to be placed on levelized billing, your account must have a zero balance. Complete the levelized billing enrollment form or give us a call at 1-800-323-9081.
